one car challenge 2025 actual final stretch

im sorry but there is this bad news
bad news: i might not make it (because suddenly and strangely i keep getting fireflies + bad light/shadow settings) 
the problem there was only shadow/light problems
i dont wanna enter in a bad quality render


good news:
ive sent my entry (enhanced it of course)
and its pending (did some improvisation)

that was an legnedary journey where ive learned to give the lighting an priority before detailing too much like the tire for 1 whole day and half

i'll maybe participate in the next edition of an 3d models org contest or another contest

here is the last wip anyways

(ill comment it later) 












made the brakelight looks like they turned on 

and even made the 2 middle circle parts of each tail-light non-symetric to mimic this pattern 




(look carefully at red light forming an triangle ,same at white ones)

did that one skyline r34 rectangular mini lights and supra rounded lights






re modeled the train signalisation light (got accidentally removed)








made the hose looks like hoses not wires




repositioned the traditional blinker stick higher 






 

i wanted to finish the render at "render300.blend" using incremental saving feature
will i be able to complete that acheivement?















made remade the key (but it looks like an actual car key)



boring adjustment/fixes



only 4 is left


begining the post processing in the current state to save time (it was 2 days left)




























that half wing emititng is being converted to blinker

fixing the shading on the brakelight











adding bolt on the engine replacing the removed hoses

deleting the cats because it was too exagerating



same reason for deleting the fuel can



some friend told me that it lacks shadow under the car

so i made an 2d plane for the shadow (i failed this attempt)







i followed that tutorial (thanks the author)



measuring the road


too big for the car to cross (not an offroader)


by the way
found out that the soil was too low (except the road) ----> explain the lack of the shadows
then i want ot fixing it
the guy in front of the car is stuck 



moving upward every sinking object (even neon light trails)






the fallen floor no longer meet the neons 

so lets flatten the neon trail







remade the tunk wiring accordinlgy





mad the table taller


fixing the shoes







few hours before the upcoming disaster






remade the "street legal" card (it was from la republique de la france) into its bootleg version

+ changed the month to a summer month later on







followed the same shadow 2d plane tutorial
but all i had to do is invert the color ramp 
(it worked finally)

i thought that was gonna end here but i was wrong

image-size requirment :"not that fast"
(stupid-me was using 100% of render image saving quality output instead of 90% which is enough)








removing the front logo




trying to reduce the wheight of the image to less than 4mb  


ive even considered to add sad black filter (like in gta4) to give the story more depth (but the visual appeal was the price) (later said no to that)







then the disaster begins: fireflies are unexcpectedly coming (i was considering giving up at this point )



i went back to last no-fireflies bug working render (to a previous backup) 



but sadly worse (and sample=16 was no longer enough) i cant understand why

then unexpectedly began to save my skin
(light/render settings tweaking after tweaking)


all i had to do is take risk of increase the samples up to 32 and mess with direct/indirect lights 
(reduced the indirect lines)














refixing the engine bay wall again (too lazy to port to more stable  version)

trying to darken the tires but no effect on the render (only viewport)

learning new type of lights


i thougt for a while that the car is gray but actually it s white (later went to gray to represent the colors of hino)











i got 3 bugs (the shadow on the road +dirty right blinker in the mirror+ lighted wheels)
but i will do what?
i will improvise them  (via pretending them something else in the description)



an quick post-processing at less than 1h before the deadline






the road shadow bug on the very left = pretended that was a truck passed by which emitted its gaz exhaust
